MicroVision Cuts Jobs On Higher Losses

Redmond-based MicroVision, a developer of pico-displays, said today that it is cutting jobs as part of a bid to lower its operating costs. The firm said it is looking to lower the cash used in its operations in 2011 by approximately 40 percent via the cuts, as well as moving development and commercialization costs to its development partners, limiting investments in its synthetic green PicoP platform, and moving product development to original design manufacturers.
