Getty Images Ties With Demand Media

Seattle-based Getty Images has tied with online content producer Demand Media, the owner of health site LIVESTRONG.com and advice site eHow.com. According to the two, they are in a joint licensing deal which will give Demand Media the ability to pull images from Getty's premium, rights managed images, videos, and audio for use on Demand's various websites. Demand Media is the firm which now owns Bellevue's eNom, the domain name registrar, and has been criticized for its producing "content farms". None of the financial details of the Getty and Demand Media deal were announced.
