UW Taps Entrepreneurs In Residence

The University of Washington's Center for Commercialization said Friday that it has tapped five industry experts as Entrepreneurs-in-Residence. The center, which focuses on helping to commercialize technology out of the school, said it has added Lars Johansson (Microsoft, Northwest Energy Angels), Ronald Berenson (HemaQuest Pharmaceuticals, Xcyte, CellPro); Terri Butler (3M), Henry Berg (A3 Alliance), and Stephanie Amoss to its list of EIRs. The center also announced a new "Entrepreneurial Fellows" program to recognize its most entrepreneurial faculty researchers. Those researchers this year are Daniel Chiu (Rheoblast), Oren Etzioni (Farecast, Netbot, Go2Net, Madrona Venture Group), Yoky Matsuoka, Buddy Ratner, Rodney Ho (Impel Neuropharma), Carla Grandori, Vikram Jandhyala (Physware), and Joel Durand.
