AdReady: Educational Advertising Down, But Online Ads Up

Seattle-based AdReady, the online advertising software firm headed by Karl Siebrecht, says that educational institutions are spending less on marketing overall, but are increasing their digital advertising efforts. The news comes from a study run by AdReady and educational marketing firm Stamats. AdReady and Stamats said they found that sixty-two percent of the educational institutions surveyed by the firms plan on increasing their digital marketing spend this year. Other tidbits of information: Facebook leads in the platforms that seventy-one percent of its respondents use for display publishing, with 95 percent using Facebook, 78 percent using Twitter, 71 percent using YouTube, and 71 percent using LinkedIn for those efforts. All of that is good news for AdReady, which--in addition to targeting small and medium sized businesses--also provides its online advertising software and services to higher education marketers. AdReady's clients include the University of Washington's Professional and Continuing Education arm.
