Elemental Technologies, thePlatform Link

Portland-based Elemental Technologies and Seattle-based thePlatform said this morning that the two are in a collaboration effort. The two companies said they have created a joint solution for processing and managing large, dynamic video content libraries for IP-connected devices. The two said the solution combines Elemental's video transcoding product with thePlatform's video management systems. The joint product's first customer is Comcast. Elemental is headed by Sam Blackman, and thePlatform's CEO is Ian Blaine.
