Amazon Web Services Adds Lower Price, Oregon Region

Seattle-based Amazon Web Services, the cloud computing and web services arm of Amazon, announced today that it has launched a new region to its list of AWS resources in Oregon, which will provide lower pricing for its users. The firm said its new, US West Region - US West (Oregon) region allows businesses to locate their resource specifically in the Oregon Region, which will drive down costs for its users. Even though AWS operates in the cloud, users are able to select from seven different infrastructure regions, ranging from Europe, to the U.S. East Coast, to Asia. Aside from price, users also select regions based on the latency they want to provide their users.
