PaperShare Takes On Search For Technical Information

Kirkland-based PaperShare, a new startup headed by Douglas A. Brown and David Greschler, said yesterday that the two have launched a new "social content network" to help people collaborate and share business content, including white papers, videos, applications, and other materials. The site is organized into industries, providing white papers and other content organized around such topics as cloud computing, databases, security, healthcare, data storage, and finance. PaperShare is looking to make it easier to find highly-targeted technical content for specific vertical markets, something which is very difficult to do with general purpose search engines. The service includes both free and paid tiers of membership.
