Isilon Wins The Associated Press

Storage giant EMC Corporation, whose EMC Isilon products are developed in Seattle, reported yesterday that the Associated Press is using its NAS products for high-definition video production and archiving. EMC said that the AP has implemented a single EMC Isilon system. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed. EMC said that the AP will soon expand the deployment beyond its video editing workflow to archive content. The Isilon system replaces an outmoded, tape-based video archive system.
