Expedia Refreshes Hotel Reviews

Bellevue-based Expedia.com, the online travel bookings site, said today that it is in the midst of a "thorough overhaul" of its hotel reviews feature. According to the company, it will be incorporating reviews from its sister company, Hotels.com, into its site, among other enhancements. Expedia also said it will be vetting and verifying reviews, making sure that reviews come from people who actually have paid for a room in the hotel they're reviewing; allowing users to categorize themselves to better shape reviews (for example, pet owners traveling with their pets, or families); and ability for users to add their own photos.
