Opscode Wins Amazon Web Services

Seattle-based cloud automation software developer Opscode reported this week that Amazon Web Services has chosen the firm's software, Opscode Chef, as the framework for its new OpsWork application management solution. The new software is used to automate configuring servers and deploying applications in AWS cloud environments. FInancial imapct of the win was not disclosed. Opscode's software provides "recipes" to help deploy and configure cloud-based applications.
