Bezos Recovers Historic Apollo Rocket Engines From Seafloor

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is a well known fan of spaceflight--including his own investments in Blue Origin, a commercial rocket firm--and now has his own little token of America's space missions, the recovered engines used by Apollo 11. Bezos Expeditions, the personal investment firm of Bezos, reported this morning that it has recovered enough of two, flown F-1 engines to restore and display to the public, from nearly 3 miles below the surface of the ocean. Bezos reported they spent three weeks at sea recovering the engines. Bezos said earlier when launching the effort that he's like to see one make it to the Smithsonian, and have another displayed at the Museum of Flight in Seattle.
