PopCap To Launch Plants vs. Zombies Sequel In July

Seattle-based PopCap Games is planning the launch of a sequel to Plants vs. Zombies, the firm's popular game franchise, on July 18th, the company said today. PopCap, which is now part of Electronic Arts, said that plans vs. Zombies 2 will launch on the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch on July 18th. The firm released a game trailer for the game today on YouTube. The new game will be free to download, with in-game virtual items and upgrades for purchase.
