Redfin Rounds Up Chicken Friendly Cities

Where's the best place to be a chicken? According to a recent, fun survey from Seattle's Redfin, that would be Portland, Oregon, based on the number of homes which list a chicken coop in their listing. Portland beat out Seattle--ranked fifth in the nation--for its chicken-friendliness. Redfin said Portland is particularly chicken friendly as it lets homeowners own up to three hens without a permit; Seattle allows up to eight chickens if they meet certain requirements. The other top cities named by Redfin include Ventura, California (2), San Diego (3), and Sacramento (4).
