Amazon Launches New Kindle Paperwhite

Amazon.com announced a new version of its Kindle today, an updated version of the Kindle Paperwhite. Amazon said the new device is the sixth generation of its Kindle, and includes such features as a new, higher contrast display, a built-in-light, a new processor, and updated touchscreen technology. Amazon said that the new Kindle Paperwhite is available for pre-order today. The new processor runs 25 percent faster than the last Paperwhite, and Amazon also announced a number of software features, including Goodreads integration, a new dictionary, smart lookups on book topics, and integration of Kindle FreeTime, a set of tools aimed at parents to help their kids get involved in reading.
