Amazon Starts Sunday Delivery In LA, NY

Seattle-based Amazon.com announced this morning that it has begun Sunday delivery in Los Angeles and New York, in a deal with the U.S. Postal Service. Amazon.com said it will provide Sunday delivery to people who are signed up as part of Amazon Prime, the company's membership program, starting with deliveries in Los Angeles and New York. Amazon.com said it plans to extend the shipping to a "large portion" of the U.S. population in 2014, starting with Dallas, Houston, New Orleans and Phoenix, and elsewhere. Financial deals with the USPS were not announced.
