Goldieblox Another Winner With Super Bowl Ad

It was somewhat a national holiday in Seattle after the huge blowout win by the Seahawks last night -- however, there's another winner with Seattle ties -- Goldieblox, the girl's toy company founded by former Seattle resident Debbie Sterling, who has ridden a wave of crowdfunding and attention to gain its own Super Bowl commercial--helpfully paid for by Intuit as part of a competition. The company's Super Bowl ad featured girls launching a bevy of pink toys and dolls into space in favor of Goldiblox's "Toys for Future Innovators." The company competed against thousands of other small businesses for the ad spot, which cost around $4 million to purchase. Sterling founded her Silicon Valley company after a stint at an ad agency in Seattle.
