Cray Wins $40M In Defense Contracts

Seattle-based supercomputer maker Cray said Tuesday that it has scored more than $40M in contracts from the Department of Defense, as part of a modernization program at the DoD. Cray said the program covers three Cray XC30 supercomputers and two of its Sonexion storage systems. The systems are being installed at the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) located at the Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio, as well as at the Stennis Space Center in Mississippi.
