Redfin Bolsters Service With New Home Listings

Seattle-based real estate site Redfin announced today that it has significantly bolstered its listings of new homes, in a deal with NewHomeSource.com. Redfin said the deal provides thousands of listings for new homes on sale, across 23 markets. The move is the first for Redfin in the new home market, which previously listed new homes but only if a real estate agent had listed those homes in a multiple listing service (MLS) -- fairly uncommon for new home developments. New home builders have typically been reticent to list their homes on an MLS, because they typically prefer to not pay commissions to real estate agents.
