Redfin Becomes A Publisher With Bloomberg Hire

In an increasingly confusing online world--where it seems like everyone is a publisher--it's often tough to tell who is and isn't in the news business. Seattle-based Redfin is entering that fray today squarely on the news publishing side, saying that it has hired away a Bloomberg News reporter to specifically cover housing market analysis and insight for the company. Redfin said it has hired Lorraine Woellert away from Bloomberg News, where she reported on housing and mortgage policy, the economy and national politics. Redfin said Woellert will help provide commentary on housing, offering up consumer information on market trends, policy developments and industry news relevant to buyers, sellers and renters.
