Starbucks Ties With New York Times To Boost Readership

Seattle-based Starbucks is in a deal with the New York Times, which will reward Starbucks customers with free drinks and other rewards, for subscribing to the newspapers' digital edition. Starbucks and the Times also said they will be offering up top news of the day and other articles, for free, to My Starbucks Rewards loyalty members. The move is an expansion of the current, free limited access that the New York Times offers up at Starbucks stores to customers via in-house, Starbucks wireless networks. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
