Kimera Systems Launches AI Software

Portland-based Kimera Systems says it has launched a new, artificial intelligence technology it is calling "Nigel", which it says can reach and learn from situations. The company is targeting the use of its technology in personal assistance and other AI apps. Kimera Systems is backed by angel investors, and announced its first funding on July 27th. The company is led by Mounir Shita, whose prior companies include Cybility, GoLife Mobile, PayWi, and a host of other small startups.
