CompanionLink Syncs Outlook, Samsung Galaxy Note7

Portland-based CompanionLink Software rolled out new software for the new Samsung Galaxy Note7 smartphone this week, to synchronize the phone with Microsoft Outlook, on either PC or Mac. CompanionLink said the new software synchronizes contacts, calendar, task, and notes to the new phone. The announcement came before Friday's news that Samsung is recalling all of its Note7 phones, after multiple reports and incidents of the new phone catching fire or exploding due to battery issues. Samsung said that, as of September 1st, it had seen 35 cases of battery issues with the new phone, and that it would stop selling the devices, which reportedly have caught fire during charging.
