Spaceflight Industries Rolls Out On-Demand, Satellite Imagery Service

Seattle-based Spaceflight Industries announced a new on-demand, satellite imagery service today, which it is calling BlackSky Spectra. According to Spaceflight, its new service taps into 13 high resolution imaging spacecraft via a single web platform, with access to everything from visual imagery to multi-spectral data, including synthetic aperture radar (SAR), hyperspectral data, and radio frequency detection. Spaceflight's service relies on a network of satellites operated by other companies, including 21AT's TripleSat, SIIS's KOMPSAT2/3/3A/5, and UrtheCast's Deimos-2, Airbus's Pleiades, SPOT6/7, KazEOSat-1, and TerraSAR-X.
