Amazon Rolls Out Service To Help Build VR, AR Apps

Amazon Web Services has rolled out a new service which helps software developers more easily build virtual reality, augmented reality, and 3D applications across a number of platforms, the company said on Monday, called Amazon Sumerian. According to Amazon, the new service is aimed at helping developers build realistic virtual environments, which can run on mobile devices, head-mounted displays, digital signage, or web browsers. The new toolkit currently supports Daydream, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, and iOS mobile devices.
