Amazon Names 20 Cities to HQ2 Finalist List

Amazon has issued a list of the 20 cities which have made its finalist list for Amazon HQ2, its effort to create another headquarters location for the e-comemrce giant. The list includes a who's who of large, American cities--plus, Toronto--and includes Boston, New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Denver, Dallas, Austin, Washington D.C, Raleigh, Atlanta, Miami as well as Newark, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Montgomery County, Northern Virginia, Columbus, Indianapolis, and Nashville. Amazon says the second headquarters is expected to create tens of thousands of additional jobs and tens of billions of dollars in additional investment in the surrounding community, issuing an RFP to cities last year for their proposals for the new location.
