Amazon Acquires Sqrrl

Seattle-based Amazon has acquired cybersecurity startup Sqrrl, according to Sqrrl, which says it is joining Amazon Web Services. Sqrrl--founded by veterans of the National Security Agency (NSA)--developed cybersecurity software used by enterprise customers for detecting "advanced threats". Financial details of the acquisition were not announced, however, rumors in December pegged the acquisition at around $40M.
