Amazon Echo Accused Of Recording, Sending Private Conversation

A Portland area woman says that an Amazon Echo apparently recorded a private conversation, and sent it randomly to a work contact--without her permission. According to KIRO 7 TV, Amazon acknowledged that the event had happened, and that it was "an extremely rare occurrence". Security researchers had reported last year that there was a security hole which would allow someone with physical access to Echo to turn it into a secret listening device; however, it's unclear if this was a hack or a bug in Amazon's code.
