Tier 3 Acquired By CenturyLink

Bellevue-based public cloud services provider Tier 3 has been acquired by CenturyLink, the two companies announced this morning, and will use Tier 3 as the basis for a new, Seattle-based Cloud Development Center. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Tier 3 was venture backed by Intel Capital, Ignition Partners and Madrona, and offered up infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) for enterprises developing cloud-based apps.
