Tred Debuts Home Test Drive Service In Seattle

Wish you could test drive a new car without leaving home? Seattle-based Tred is now letting Seattle residents get a new car delivered to their home or office for a test drive, as part of its automotive buying service. The startup--backed by Fraser McCombs Capital, Chris Sacca's Lowercase Capital, Maveron Capital, former Chairman and CEO of General Motors Rick Wagoner, TechStars' David Cohen, Great Oaks Venture Capital, and Founder's Co-Op--launched its service this morning, saying it will let users in the Greater Seattle/Bellevue area order up vehicles from local dealerships, including Michael's Toyota of Bellevue, Ford of Kirkland, Walker’s Renton Subaru, Honda Auto Center of Bellevue and Lee Johnson Chevrolet, for a test drive.

The new service lets people do side-by-side test drive comparisons, at their home, as well as receive independent pricing and information on those cars directly from Tred. The service also lets car buyers even trade in an old automobile on-site. The service costs $19 per car, delivered to a user's home or office.
