TriQuint Begins High Volume Production Of 100G Products

Hillsboro, Oregon-based TriQuint Semiconductor announced today that the firm has begun high volume production of new driver amplifiers at 40 and 100 Gb/s. The firm said the new components "significantly reduce" power consumption in high speed optical networks. The firm did not say if it has any design wins for the devices yet.
