Tyfone Adds Taiwanese Partner

Portland-based Tyfone, the developer of near field communications (NFC) mobile payment hardware, said this morning that it has linked with Taiwanese memory products firm AboMem Technology Corp.. Tyfone said the two are in a deal, where AboMem will manufacture, distribute, and services its SideTap microSD NFC products. Financial arrangements between the firms were not disclosed. The deal also includes a distribution deal, where AboMem will distribute Tyfone's product in the People's Republic of China.
