Uber Buying Assets From Microsoft Bing

On demand ride service Uber is acquiring a number of assets--and roughly 100 employees--from Microsoft and its Bing search engine, according to reports Monday, as part of an effort by Uber to improve its mapping abilities. Full details on the acquisition had not yet been announced by the company. The engineers and assets are all apparently related to Bing's mapping technology.
