Vacasa Jumps On Virtual Reality Bandwagon

Portland-based vacation rental management software and services provider Vacasa is hopping on the virtual reality bandwagon, saying that it has linked up with a VR experience firm, Matterport, on every listing that it manages. Matterport--which develops virtual reality visualization tools--will power virtual reality tours on all of Vacasa's listings. Financial details of the deal were not announced. Vacasa said the virtual reality tour feature will be provided at no cost to owners and guests. Vacasa offers up a marketplace of vacation homes, across the U.S., Europe, and Central and South America. The company was founded by Eric Breon and Cliff Johnson.
