Vertafore Acquires Kaplan Compliance Solutions

Bothell-based Vertafore, a developer of insurance sales management software, said today that its wholly owned subsidiary, Sircon, is acquiring Kaplan Compliance Solutions. Kaplan Compliance Solutions is a provider of insurance and securities software, and is based in Indianapolis, IN. Financial terms of the buy were not announced. Vertafore said the acquisition will help it provide a comprehensive producer insurance licensing and securities registration compliance offering to the industry. Kaplan Compliance Solutions was previously a unit of Kaplan, Inc., itself owned by The Washington Post Company.
