VIEVU Acquired By Safariland

Seattle-based body camera developer VIEVU has been acquired by public safety and outdoor products maker The Safariland Group, the two said this morning. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. VIEVU was founded in 2007 by Steve Ward, who founded the company after spending time he Seattle Police Department. The two said the acquisition will provide additional scale, financial and human resources and distribution capabilities to VIEVU.
