Vioguard Gets $5M

Bothell, Washington-based Vioguard, which develops UV-sanitized keyboards, mice, and other products, has raised $5M in a funding round, the company said on Wednseday. The Series A funding came from Imagen Capital Partners. Vioguard says it has now raised $11M in funding in total. The funding will be used to expand sales and marketing, as well as for product development. Imagen adds two board seats with the funding, according to the company. Vioguard's keyboards and mice use high powered, ultraviolet light to kill what it says is 999 pecent of all bacteria, viruses, fungi, and drug-resistant pathogens responsible for hospital acquired infections. The company is led by Laurance Ranta.
