Vulcan-backed Audio Technology Firm Audience Files For IPO

A company backed by Seattle-based Vulcan Capital has filed for an IPO, according to a filing Friday. Mountain View, California-based Audience said its in S-1 that it is looking to raise up to $75M in an IPO. The firm is venture backed by Vulcan Capital, which owns 25% of the firm, in addition to New Enterprise Associates and Tallwood Venture Capital. Audience develops audio processing technology, used to improve the audio quality of voice calls on cell phones. The IPO is being underwritten by J.P. Morgan, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank Securities, and Pacific Crest Securities. Audience said it hopes to list as ADNC, either on the NASDAQ Global Market or the New York Stock Exchange.
