Whrrl Connects With Apple

Seattle-based Pelago, operator of the Whrrl mobile social networking service, said today that its service will be available starting today on Apple's new App Store. The App Store is Apple's online marketplace for iPhone and iPod touch applications. According to Pelago, its service will allow users of Apple's iPhone and iPod touch information about real-world activities of their friends. Apple launched its App Store Thursday with hundreds of applications from companies, including games, utilities, and other software. Pelago is venture backed by Bezos Expeditions, DAG Ventures, Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers, Reliance Technology Ventures Limited, T-Mobile, and Trilogy Partners.
