X5 Solutions Acquired By NewSpring Capital

Seattle-based X5 Solutions, a provider of cloud-based software for the telecommunications industry, has been acquired by private equity firm NewSpring Capital. Financial details of the acquisition deal were not announced. NewSpring said it has partnered with executives Greg Forrest and Rick Hirsh to acquire and run X5 Solutions. X5 Solutions offers SIP trunking, hosted voice, conferencing, Unified Communications (UC), and other telecom products. NewSpring said there will be "significant investment" in X5 to expand its network infrastructure, operational capacity and work force.
