X5 Solutions Acquires CornerStone Telephone

Seattle-based X5 Solutions, a provider of telecom services, including voice and data, SIP trunking, and other related communications services, has acquired New York-based CornerStone Telephone Company. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. X5 Solutions is backed by NewSpring Capital. CornerStone provides local and long distance phone service, high-speed Internet access, VoIP, cloud computing, data center services and business phone systems in the northeastern United States. The acquisition looks to be the second for X5 this year, which acquired Switching Concepts in April.
