Avnera Acquired By Skyworks For Up To $425M

Beaverton, Oregon-based Avnera Corporation, a developer of analog and mixed signal audio, voice, and speech processing semiconductors, has been acquired by Skyworks, in a deal worth up to $425M. Skyworks said it will pay $405M in cash for Avnera, plus up to $20M more in performance milestones. Avnera's customers include Harman, JBL, Panasonic, Philips, Pioneer, Polk, Samsung, Sennheiser, Sony, Vizio and Yamaha. Skyworks, which is based in Southern California, said the acquisition of Avnera will help it expand its footprint in automotive, industrial, home automation, enterprise and high-end consumer markets.
