Avnera Raises $10M

Beaverton, Oregon-based Avnera, a developer of systms-on-a-chip for the consumer electronics market, said today that it has raised $10M in a Series D funding round. The round came from Onkyo, as well as existing investors. The firm said Onkyo is working with the firm on several products, expected to hit the marketin the second half o 2010. The firm said it has now raised $52M to date, in four rounds of funding. Other backers of Avnera include Altien Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners, Best Buy Capital, DAG Ventures, Intel Capital, Panasonic Venture Group, Polycom Corporation and Redpoint Ventures.
