    Healia Unveils Online Health Community

Health care search engine Healia revealed Tuesday that it has launched a free online health community called Healia Communities. Healia explained that the new service is intended to help people obtain personal support for their health-related decisions from peers and experienced health care professionals. Healia said its new community allows members to search for peers by health concern, age, heritage, geographic location and whether they are a parent, caregiver or health care professional. Healia said its Communities already boasts more than 200 sub-communities, including allergy, Alzheimer’s, asthma, breast cancer, type 2 diabetes, heart diseases and weight management. Established in 2005, Healia is headquartered in Bellevue, Wash.
