Liberty Lake, Washington-based Itron, the maker of smart utility metering devices, reported today that it has now deployed more than 150,000 of its gas meter communications modules in a deployment in Greater Houston. The deployment came with the natural gas distribution subsidiary of CenterPoint Energy. Itron said it expects the project will install a total of 1.2 million communications modules, and will be complete by 2013.
