JanRain Raises $3.25M

Portland-based JanRain, a developer of online identity software, is announcing this morning that it has raised $3.25M in a Series A funding. The funding was led by DFJ Frontier, and also included RPM Ventures and Anthem Venture Partners. According to the firm's CEO, Brian Kissel, the funding will go towards expanding the firm's staff and product offerings. David Cremin of DFJ Frontier, Tony Groer of RPM Venturs, and Samit Varma of Anthem Venture Partners are joining the firm's board along with the funding. JanRain develops online, single-sign on software for OpenID and other Internet identity standards, used to enable use of a single login across multiple Internet sites and software.
