Microsoft Ventures Expands Efforts In India

Microsoft Ventures, the venture investment and accelerator arm of Microsoft, is in a big push in India, saying today that it has graduated seventeen startups from its Accelerator Program in India, and also launched a new initiative aimed at boosting the startup ecosystem in that country. Microsoft Ventures said its new effort--Think Next--will involve a semi-annual forum and event to help local, Indian stakeholders to network and work on steps to spur the growth of the local entrepreneurial ecosystem. Microsoft said the graduates of its Accelerator program include Appointy, App Virality, Bookpad, Boutline, Imly, InstaSafe, IntouchApp, Metaome, Sliderule, Voonik, MyBusTickets.in, Praxify, Thinxtream, Touchfone, ZingHR and Zoom, as well as Profoundis.
