Nurx, With Offices In Oregon, Finds $36M For Birth Control Prescriptions

Nurx, a startup which offers women online access to birth control prescriptions--which has its official mailing address in Beavrton, Oregon--said this week that it has raised $36M more in funding. The funding was led by Kleiner Perkins, and also included Union Square Ventures, Y Combinator, and Lowercase Capital. Nurx, whose official headquarters are in San Francisco, said Noah Knauf of Kleiner Perkins joins the company's board with the funding, as does Chelsea Clinton. Nurx was co-founded and is led by CEO Hans Gangeskar. Nurx got its start in Beaverton, where it has its operations.
