Seattle-based Opscode, the developer of cloud infrastructure automation tools, reported this morning that it has connected its Open Source Chef, Hosted Chef, and Private Chef tools into VMware's various products running on cloud providers Terremark and Blue Box. The firm said it has released new, API plugins which allows its users to automate VCloud infrastructure, including on those two cloud providers. The new APIs allows customers to both provision and manage configuration of those cloud instances. Opscode's software makes it easier for developers to use templates to configure environments and applications.
