Renton, Washington-based Parallels, the developer of desktop virtualization software, said today that it has appointed both a new Chief Financial Officer and Chief Technology Officer. The firm said it has named David Arkley as CFO, and Michael Toutonghi as CTO. Arkley was most recently at Itron, serving in a number of roles, including CFO of Itron North America and VP of Mergers and Acquisition. Toutonghi has previously been at Microsoft. In addition to Arkley and Toutonghi, Parallels also said it has hired Jesper Fredericksen as its VP and GM of EUNA, heading up sales in Europe and North Africa. Fredericksen was previously at Symantec.
