Pixvana Picks Up $14M For Immersive Video

Seattle-based Pixvana said on Monday that it raised $14M in a Series A funding round, for its efforts to deliver immersive video experiences. The startup, headed by CEO Forest Key, said the funding was led by Vulcan Capital, and also included Raine Ventures, Microsoft Ventures, Cisco Investments and Hearst Ventures, along with Madrona Venture Group Pixana develops a platform called "SPIN Studio" aimed at delivering immersive virtual, augmented, and mixed reality software at 8K resolution.
